Juan is a seasoned researcher with a PhD from the University of Queensland, Australia, and PostDocs from the Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in France and the University of Vienna in Austria. Juan joined Sparrow in July 2024 to lead the R&D team.

Lucio did his PhD at the University of Cambridge, where he worked on quantum magnetometry with spin sensors. He moved to the Niels Bohr Institute as a Marie Curie fellow focusing on optomechanics, before joining Sparrow Quantum as a quantum optics engineer.

Ming-Lai joined Sparrow in 2024 as an industrial postdoc, with a PhD in quantum photonics at the Niels Bohr Institute. He is interested in developing entangled-photon sources and photonic quantum computing architectures for quantum emitters.

Oliver is a student assistant at Sparrow Quantum. With a background in project management, his focus lies in applied quantum systems and error correction. Oliver has also conducted award-winning independent research in computational chemistry.

After his master’s in Applied Solid State Physics at Ruhr University Bochum, Severin joined Sparrow in 2023. He is dedicated to further optimizing the fabrication of pristine semiconductor quantum dots for single-photon source applications.

Zhe is an experienced fabrication engineer with a PhD from the IOP-CAS, China. Zhe has been working on quantum photonics chip fabrication and development at the Niels Bohr Institute since 2017. He joined Sparrow Quantum as a research consultant in 2022.

Oliver is a senior quantum research scientist at Sparrow Quantum and former postdoctoral researcher for the Niels Bohr Institute. With degrees from the Universities of Queensland and Copenhagen, Oliver also completed a one-year research fellowship at Harvard.

Daria has a PhD in nanotechnology from Université Grenoble Alpes in France and a postdoc from the Niels Bohr Institute. She recently completed her second postdoctoral position at DTU Energy before joining Sparrow as materials scientist.
