
Sparrow Quantum's photon-emitter chip, at the core of ORCA Computing's PT-2 processor, has powered a new proof of concept showing that quantum hardware can already sit inside a real biological design pipeline. Working with the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), the team swapped the standard random seed of a generative AI model for samples drawn from the PT-2, and used it to design peptides that bind stably to HLA molecules, the markers that tell T cells what to attack and that underpin cancer immunotherapies and T-cell vaccines.
