Sparrow Quantum: Deeply Rooted in Decades of Groundbreaking Research

Sparrow Quantum is a spin-out of Professor Peter Lodahl’s research group at the Niels Bohr Institute, building on more than 25 years of pioneering quantum photonics research.

We develop deterministic photonic technology for scalable quantum systems. At the core is our industry-leading on-chip single-photon source, trusted by quantum technology leaders worldwide.

Today, we are advancing this technology from high-performance photon sources toward integrated photonic systems for quantum computing and networking.

Sparrow Quantum was born at the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen, where our story began in a basement lab. Today, from our own headquarters and labs, we remain closely connected to the institute and its research community, continuing to collaborate at the forefront of quantum science and technology.
