Laser
A high-performance, pulsed resonant excitation laser is required to drive Sparrow Core at 80 ± 0.5 MHz; supports lower rates via an external pulse picker (<80 MHz) with dedicated optical in/out.
Electrical module
Industrial-grade computer and control electronics handle automated startup, alignment, calibration, and continuous monitoring for closed-loop thermal/optical stability. Runs as an unattended service and interacts through a served web app or automated with the API.
Cryostat
We recommend a compact cryostat to house the Sparrow Core; compressor is placed in an adjacent rack for vibration suppression, supporting stable long-run operation.
Optical module
Precision free-space optics with integrated sensors, camera, and motorized mechanics for stable photon extraction and fiber coupling; single-photon output on PM fiber (PM780, FC/APC) with options (PM980/custom).
Sparrow Core
InAs-based quantum dot chip providing world-class single-photon metrics (indistinguishability 90–97%, g(2)(0) < 1%, fiber efficiency 30–50%), with fixed per-chip wavelength typically 920–960 nm. Learn more about Sparrow Core.
